Hello, I am Sayem, and I love writing.
Since I was around fifteen, I was enamoured with the idea of writing about the things I love for a living. My nose was endlessly stuck in some kind of tech or gaming magazine. Eventually, my obsessions grew to dismantling electronics in my Dad’s garage, and writing very badly about my favourite things, hoping to one day make real money from it.
Since then, I’ve worked hard to make those wistful dreams and ideas a reality. I have over a decade of experience in Journalism and have held senior roles across online publishing and marketing.
My skill set includes all manner of content production skills, including all the boring managerial ones like knowing the difference between “Agile” and “Waterfall” working environments. I understand video, written content, and the wider media landscape with the kind of insight you only attain after being immersed in it for over a decade.
My work in the games industry culminated in a once-in-a-lifetime project; to join a team who were going to produce the official Elden Ring Guidebook by FuturePress, made in partnership with developer From Software.
I jumped at the opportunity, even if it meant working eighty-hour weeks alongside my full-time job. One book grew to two, and I’m incredibly proud of the work that the team and I achieved together.
My approach and interest in learning have led my career to be pretty colourful: After conquering the gaming mountain, my attention turned to technology. I’ve held multiple senior roles across several publications, including Dexerto, where I was awarded a spot on MCV’s 30 Under 30 award in 2023.
In early 2025, I joined the extremely smart and talented folks at Tom’s Hardware as Subscription Editor. Since joining, I developed and launched Tom’s Hardware Premium, which offers readers detailed insights into the semiconductor industry.
